A multimedia resource kit designed to introduce students to the world of western classical music. The DVD, divided into 5 segments, explores the history and culture of Italy as it details the lives and works of Antonio Vivaldi and Giuseppe Verdi. Each segment is divided into four chapters which may be viewed individually. Each quiz question allows students to review the segment under discussion. DVD features include : how to use DVD and CD-ROM, bonus features sounscapes and additional quiz questions. CD-ROM contains a teacher guide and teaching program overview on PDF. Also includes assignments corresponding to each segment of the DVD, including PDF worksheets, interactive scores and various listening activities, as wells as teacher instructions and downloadable MIDI files.

To use the MIDI files properly, they need to be imported into a music sequencing program such as Cubase.
