Designed to introduce viewers to health and wellness and to the importance of making good choices to develop healthy habits and set personal health goals. This program examines the importance of food and nutrition in the lives of children. Looks at food groups, healthy food handling, and reading food labels correctly in order to make the best food choices. Reminds viewers of the importance of balance and moderation in food selection, while introducing other factors on food choice such as culture, advertising, and food fads. Also encourages viewers to eat healthy snacks and a good breakfast, and to exercise. And, as well, rules for dealing with food allergy are presented. Features include: Spanish and English language tracks ; discussion questions and activities ; closed-captioning ; and, chapter select.
