Summary: Through interviews with teens and health professionals, viewers learn about the consequences of early sexual activity. Part one introduces several teens who are comfortable with their decision not to have sex, and presents strategies to resist peer pressure to make a decision that you might not be ready for. Emphasizes the importance of learning skills to be in a relationship, to manage a relationship, and, at this point in their lives, to manage an intimate relationship without sexual activity. Part two presents several teens who found out, firsthand, what it takes to raise a child, finish their education, and maintain a social life, and how outside support can help them to achieve their goals. DVD features include: captioning in English and Spanish ; video index (video chaptered into navigable units to quickly find the right content segments) ; curriculum units (key curricular segments that include pre- and post-viewing questions in a format ideal for integration into classroom instruction) ; standard link (highlights correlation to U.S. national education standards) ; and, a link to teacher resources.
