Designed to introduce students to the world of science. In this program, host Max Orbit explores the nature of rocks, minerals and fossils. Discusses the properties of rocks and minerals and the layer of the Earth, the formation of igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks, and how rocks are formed and changed through the processes of weathering and erosion. Also considers the tools needed for rock collecting, where to look for specimens. and how to identify rocks and minerals. Also notes rules for safe rock and mineral collection.
