Series is designed to introduce viewers to scientific concepts and principles in a variety of fields. This program generally looks at the concept of magnetism but pays particular attention to electromagnetism, animal magnetism, geomagnetism (Earth's magnetic field), and the properties of magnets. Describes the numerous uses of magnetism especially the use of a compass for navigation. Also explains what causes the Northern Lights. Briefly describes the presence of magnetic fields on the sun and other planets.
