A multimedia resource kit designed to introduce students to the world of western classical music. The DVD, divided into 5 parts, explores the history of Scandinavia, notably Norway and Finland at it details the lives and works of Edvard Grieg and Jean Sibelius. Each segment is divided into 4 chapters which can be viewed individually. Each quiz question allows students to review the segment under discussion. DVD features include : how to use DVD and CD-ROM, bonus features soundscapes and additional quiz questions. CD-ROM contains a teacher guide and teaching program overview on PDF. Also includes assignments corresponding to each segment of the DVD, including PDF worksheets, interactive scores and various listening activities, as wells as teacher instructions and downloadable MIDI files.

To use the MIDI files properly, they need to be imported into a music sequencing program such as Cubase.
