Series explores environmental and ecological initiatives undertaken by Canadian schools and school children. Through narration and interviews, considers what can be done to make a difference and ensure the survival of our planet and its resources. "Canada is one of the highest energy consuming nations in the world! Much of the energy we use is generated through the burning of fossil fuels - a non-renewable energy source. Not only is that a problem, but the burning of fossil fuels creates environmental problems such as the formation of acid rain and toxic greenhouse gases. How can we help? There are some very simple things like turning off lights and shutting off computer screens. Some schools in the country have taken it a step further by installing solar panels and geothermal systems. Others have implemented simple but effective strategies like a walking school bus and teaching students about local produce and farming." -- Container.
