With an understanding of the properties of air, viewers learn how air makes flight possible. They next see how the four forces: lift, gravity, thrust and drag, make it possible for an airplane to fly. Also examines Bernoulli's principle, Newton's third law of motion, the angle of attack, natural and man-made objects that use airfoils, and how a pilot controls the airplane. In addition, students learn about the history of flight in Canada. DVD features include chapter segments with DVD-ROM allowing access to teacher's guide.
